College Commitments
Goalkeeper Geremy Uhl of Los Alamitos, the Southern Section Division II boys’ soccer defensive player of the year, has signed a letter of intent with San Francisco. Uhl had a school-record 19 shutouts this season to help Los Alamitos (27-1-1) win its first section title since 1992.
Sweeper Scott Mason of Long Beach Millikan, a two-time All-Southern Section Division I selection in boys’ soccer, has signed with Lipscomb University in Tennessee.
Mason, a two-time Moore League defensive player of the year, helped Millikan (25-3-2) win the Division I title last year and advance to the semifinals this year.
