Campaign Reform
Re “Starr Will Help Fight Finance Reform,” March 22: Thank goodness Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has enlisted Kenneth Starr, Floyd Abrams and Kathleen M. Sullivan to condemn the campaign finance bill. Capping political contributions and banning soft money are clear violations of the 1st Amendment. May I request that Sen. McConnell and his triumvirate of pro bono legal eagles next repeal traffic speed limits, as they violate my right of self-expression to tear 120 mph past a school zone?
