Motorist Dies in Irvine Crash
A motorist was killed Saturday in Irvine after his sport utility vehicle veered onto the wrong side of the road and rolled several times, police said.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m. on Culver Drive, between Barranca Parkway and Warner Avenue, said Irvine Police Sgt. Craig Smith.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle was traveling south on Culver when it veered onto the divider. Police said it then swerved into the northbound lanes and rolled. The driver, who was not carrying identification, died at the scene.
