From Times Staff Reports
The sentencing of former Los Angeles police officer Rafael Perez was postponed Monday because of a dispute over his plea agreement.
Perez pleaded guilty in November to violating the civil rights of Javier Francisco Ovando, a young, unarmed gang member shot and then falsely arrested by Perez and his partner.
The sentencing hearing has been rescheduled for May 6.
