Lake Is Focus in Search for Crematory Bodies

Authorities began draining a 2 1/2-acre lake on the property of a crematory operator in search of additional bodies that were dumped rather than being cremated.
A state magistrate also denied bail to Ray Brent Marsh, 28, accused of charging for cremations and disposing of more than 300 bodies at his Tri-State Crematory in Noble.
About 6 inches of the lake had been drained and no additional bodies found, officials said. They expected the lake to be drained in its entirety by early Wednesday.
“There’s been nothing new found in several days,” said Kris Sperry, chief medical examiner for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
