2 Men Killed by Trains in Separate Incidents
From Times Staff Reports
Two people were struck and killed Monday by passenger trains in separate incidents.
In Canyon Country, a 67-year-old man walked onto the tracks about 6 a.m. at Rainbow Glen Drive and was struck by a Lancaster-to-Los Angeles Metrolink train, authorities said.
Police said they could not tell if the man was trying to commit suicide or was disoriented.
Four hours later in Compton, a man hid behind a ticket window and then threw himself in front of a Long Beach-bound Blue line train, MTA officials said.
