Update--Colorado captain John Spencer, whose overtime goal gave the Rapids a 1-0 victory over the Galaxy at the Rose Bowl on April 27, is out after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Former Galaxy defender Greg Vanney, who suffered a knee injury playing for the U.S. national team in a World Cup warm-up against Jamaica, trained with the Galaxy this week. Vanney’s MLS contract was purchased by French first division club Bastia. Retired Galaxy defender Paul Caligiuri will provide color commentary on today’s telecast. On the injury front: Galaxy midfielder Sasha Victorine (strained lower back) may come off the bench, and defender Ezra Hendrickson (hip) might not play at all.
