Council OKs Salary for Interim Police Chief

The City Council unanimously approved a $239,034 annual salary for interim LAPD Chief Martin Pomeroy. Pomeroy is expected to serve about six months while the city searches for a new chief.
A 31-year Los Angeles Police Department veteran who returned from retirement in Montana to take the temporary job, Pomeroy will also receive $5,000 in relocation and housing costs.
