Aramark to Buy Clinical Technology

Aramark Corp., a provider of stadium concessions and facilities management that went public last year, agreed to buy Premier Inc.’s hospital-equipment maintenance unit for about $100 million in cash to add services it can offer health-care facilities.
The Clinical Technology Services unit of San Diego-based Premier manages, maintains and repairs equipment for more than 180 U.S. hospital and health-care systems. Premier is a subsidiary of Redwood City, Calif.-based AP Pharma Inc.
Shares of Philadelphia-based Aramark rose 8 cents to $19.40 on the NYSE; AP Pharma rose 3 cents to $1.85 on Nasdaq.
