School District Chooses Interim Superintendent

Trustees for the Hueneme Elementary School District have chosen an interim superintendent while they search for a permanent replacement for former chief Robert Fraisse.
James Sheridan, a retired superintendent, took over the 8,600-student district last week. Trustees have hired a search consultant and hope to have a permanent superintendent in place by October.
Fraisse left Hueneme last month to become superintendent of Conejo Valley Unified School District in Thousand Oaks.
Sheridan, 69, retired in 1992 from the El Monte Union High School District. He has worked as interim superintendent for the Hemet Unified, Whittier Union and Bonita Unified school districts.
