Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s stepson arrived back in New Zealand today after being deported from the U.S., his employer said.
Mohammed Nour al-Din Saffi, a naturalized New Zealand citizen, arrived in Auckland in the custody of an FBI officer, said a spokesman for Air New Zealand, where Saffi works as a ground engineer.
No criminal charges are pending against Saffi in the U.S., the Immigration and Naturalization Service said. He was detained last week after he arrived to take courses at a Miami flight school but did not have the required student visa.
