Man Jailed After Doctor, Nurse Are Held Captive

A 34-year-old Ventura man was arrested after hospital employees were held captive during a drug-induced episode, police said Monday.
Andrew Meyer was booked at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of false imprisonment and parole violations.
Meyer ran into the Ventura County Medical Center emergency room Sunday night and barricaded himself in an office with a doctor and nurse, police said. He surrendered when police arrived.
