* Network Associates Inc. said it would offer $164.9 million in stock for the rest of McAfee.com Corp., reinstating a bid that was twice halted amid a probe of the anti-virus software maker’s accounting. Network Associates, which owns 75% of McAfee.com, will exchange 0.78 share of its stock for each McAfee.com Class A common share, the same terms as its April 10 offer. It values McAfee.com at $13.74 a share, 6.1% less than Friday’s closing price. Network Associates fell $1.65 to $17.62 on the NYSE, and McAfee.com fell $1.04 to $13.60 on Nasdaq.
* U.S. retail gasoline prices rose 0.8 cent to $1.392 a gallon in the week ended Monday, the Department of Energy said. The highest pump prices were on the West Coast, where a gallon of regular gasoline fell 0.2 cent to an average of $1.559.
* Digene Corp. terminated an agreement to be bought by Cytyc Corp. after antitrust regulators challenged the merger of the medical test makers.
