Couple Will Turn Over Brothel to School District

A couple who had been operating two brothels in Pomona for the last 30 years accepted a plea deal Wednesday that will send one of them to jail
As part of the agreement, Herschel and Kay Jennings will have to turn over the Swedish Salon to the Pomona Valley Unified School District, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Gail Ehrlich, who prosecuted the case.
The salon was next to Lincoln Elementary School, and parents often complained that children could find discarded lewd material that had blown against the chain-link fence.
The district will build classrooms on the property, Ehrlich said.
