A 12-year-old Minneapolis girl who was reported kidnapped in November and found in Tennessee was swarmed by family members when she returned home.
“Imagine how happy I feel. So happy,” said Ilsa Escobar, Johania’s Funes mother. Escobar reported the girl missing Nov. 26 after Johania failed to show up for school.
Johania Funes looked stunned and didn’t speak to reporters.
Johania was found unharmed Saturday at an apartment complex in Jackson, Tenn., authorities said. Raymundo Barrios Roblero, 24, was later arrested at a friend’s house in Carroll County, Ky., the FBI said.
Roblero lived one floor above Escobar’s apartment in a south Minneapolis complex.
