How to Make That Aspirin Work Faster
“What You Can Do Before the Paramedics Arrive” (Dec.17) was very informative. I checked with a physician about the effectiveness of taking just a single aspirin if the patient feels a heart attack is imminent. He said that chewing the aspirin before swallowing it would increase the absorption rate in the stomach, rather than having to wait until the tablet is absorbed.
