A fire at an Anaheim apartment complex forced 19 residents, including seven children, out of their homes Friday night, but authorities said all escaped without injury.
The blaze erupted shortly after 10:40 p.m. in an upstairs apartment at 913 E. Balsam Ave. and spread to the next unit, destroying both, and damaging a unit beneath them, said Maria Sabol, a spokeswoman for the Anaheim Fire Department.
The blaze took 40 minutes to contain and the cause is under investigation, Sabol said. Damage is estimated at $175,000 to the complex; $25,000 to the contents.
