Voter Registration Deadline
Today is the deadline to register for the March 5 election, which includes issues from local initiatives to gubernatorial primaries.
In Orange County, voters will pass judgment on Measure W, a controversial initiative to rezone the former El Toro Marine base for use primarily as a park.
Eligible voters--U.S. citizens 18 and older--can pick up registration material in Postal Service buildings, county clerk offices or online through the California Secretary of State’s Web site at www.ss.ca.gov.
Mail-in registration cards must be postmarked by the end of today.
