Woman Held on Murder Charge in Apartment Fire
A woman was charged with murder in connection with an apartment complex fire that killed four people and injured at least six, authorities said.
The fire broke out Friday at the building near the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Janet Louise Danahey, 23, of Greensboro was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of nursing student Rachel Dawn Llewellyn, a police spokesman said. Additional charges were awaiting positive identification of the other three victims, he said.
Officials would not release a motive or other details about the arrest.
Danahey was being held without bail pending a court appearance today.
