An Arizona man working at the Ventura County Fair remained in stable condition late Sunday after allegedly being stabbed twice in the stomach by his brother, who was arrested.
Ignacio Lopez, 29, was stabbed by Alvaro Lopez, 28, also of Arizona, after an argument at Ventura RV Park on Sunday morning, said Ventura Police Sgt. Brock Avery. Both men had been working at the fair and were staying in the park along with several other fair employees, Avery said.
Alvaro Lopez was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and taken to Ventura County Jail.
Avery said the brothers had been drinking alcohol outside their trailer before an argument broke out.
Several witnesses pulled Ignacio Lopez into a nearby clubhouse and called the police.
