Out-of-Control Wildfire Threatening Buildings

A wildfire burned out of control Friday evening near Lake Berryessa in Napa County.
The blaze started about 2 p.m. near Pope Valley and had grown to 200 to 300 acres by 6 p.m., threatening numerous buildings, according to Jim Price of the state Department of Forestry.
On the scene to battle the blaze in 100-degree-plus temperatures and low humidity were 118 firefighters along with six aircraft and 14 fire engines.
