Authorities are searching for two men who stabbed and sexually assaulted a woman at a cemetery where she was visiting her father’s grave, police said Thursday.
The 22-year-old woman was returning to her car about 12:30 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park when the men grabbed and assaulted her, Los Angeles Police Det. Rose Angel-Rummer said.
The cemetery straddles the boundary between Glendale and Los Angeles.
One man threw the woman to the ground and, when she resisted, stabbed her and fled, the detective said, adding that both men laughed during the attack.
The woman called police and then drove herself to a hospital, where she was treated and released, police said.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Angel-Rummer at (213) 847-4272.
