Eight Children Killed in School Wall Collapse

A wall at a religious school collapsed after heavy rains, killing eight children and injuring eight others along with their teacher in the southwestern Pakistan city of Quetta, police said.

The children--ages 6 to 12--were studying when the collapse occurred a few hours after a thunderstorm, police said.

Six bodies were recovered from the rubble, and two more children died of their injuries after they were taken to a nearby government hospital.
