Former Ambassador to Speak on Middle East

A former U.S. ambassador to Kuwait and Yemen will speak on the future of the Middle East on Tuesday at Cal Lutheran University’s Overton Hall.
Barbara Bodine, diplomat-in-residence at UC Santa Barbara, received the State Department’s Distinguished Honor Award last year. As deputy ambassador to Kuwait, she endured a 100-day siege of the U.S. Embassy during the Gulf War. She most recently served as ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.
