Kazarian Did Put Officers in Danger

Re “Ex-O.C. Deputy D.A. Is Freed,” March 19:
I was a law enforcement official involved in the investigation of former Orange County Deputy Dist. Atty. Bryan Kazarian. We know this intelligent, articulate ex-prosecutor passed confidential and potentially life-threatening information to his associates, including a known drug dealer. Some of the information was transferred on a county telephone from an office in the Orange County district attorney’s office.
During his court appearance, Kazarian referred to “those who think I put them in danger.” Well, Mr. Kazarian, your betrayal of your oath, the release of confidential information and your actions did jeopardize the safety of many law enforcement personnel.
One can only hope that Orange County Dist. Atty. Tony Rackauckas will launch an immediate investigation. Had Kazarian been a police officer instead of an attorney, would he be free today?
