Update--The Ducks are hurting. Goalie Steve Shields is out because of a facial laceration and jaw contusion. Defenseman Keith Carney is out because of a hip flexor. Both injuries occurred in Wednesday’s 1-1 tie with Detroit. Defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky will miss his sixth consecutive game because of a strained groin and might not play the remainder of the season. Defenseman Ruslan Salei sat out practice Thursday, but Coach Bryan Murray said he would play. The Ducks recalled goalie Gregg Naumenko and defenseman Aris Brimanis.
