Sen. O’Connell Named Parade Grand Marshal

Outgoing state Sen. Jack O’Connell has been selected as parade grand marshal for the this summer’s Ventura County Fair.
O’Connell was raised in Oxnard and was a teacher before being elected to the Assembly in 1982. He was elected to the state Senate in 1994 and is in his second term.
The fair parade is scheduled for Aug. 3.
