Postal Notes
Re “Postal Service Must Deliver,” editorial, March 31: Perhaps the post office could cut expenses enough to avoid debt by doing three things:
1. Require employees to provide their own clothes for the job--no more uniforms.
2. Stop delivering junk mail--the source of 99% of junk mail I receive--in spite of claims that junk mail provides great revenue. Bunk! How many extra employees and vehicles does it also require?
3. Stop advertising on TV--a fantastic expense. Government or quasi-government offices should not throw money into advertising.
