Bank Robbed for the 2nd Time in Month
For the second time in less than a month, Goleta National Bank in Ventura was robbed Wednesday--probably by the same man, police said.
The holdup was reported about 11:30 a.m., said FBI Special Agent Brent Robbins. The same Victoria Street branch was robbed Aug. 29.
In both cases, the robber, whose image was captured on surveillance video, handed the same teller a note demanding money. No weapon was seen in either case and no one was injured.
Federal authorities believe the same robber is also responsible for holdups at California Federal Bank in Oxnard on Aug. 22 and at American Commercial Bank in Ventura on Aug. 10.
