Hurricane Juliette Picks Up Strength, Moves to Sea

Hurricane Juliette recovered strength but headed away from land while continuing to dump torrential rain on much of central Mexico and its Pacific coast.
Over the weekend, heavy rains caused two deaths in the southern state of Chiapas after a swollen river swept away houses.
Juliette, with winds up to 140 mph, was classified as a Category 4 hurricane. A Category 5 is the most potentially destructive.
Juliette was about 300 miles southeast of the Pacific coastal state of Jalisco on Tuesday and was moving west-northwest at 11 mph.
