Two Men Are Freed in Double Slaying
Two men arrested in connection with a double homicide on July 30 near Torrance City Hall were released after the prosecutor failed to file murder charges against them Friday, citing a need for “further investigation” by police.
Mark Pirante, 44, was released Friday and Rogelio Quintana, 32, Saturday, said Sgt. Rod Irvine.
Irvine said the two San Pedro men remain prime suspects, as do two other men who are still being sought in the slayings of Michael Gheen, of Perris, and Ian Campbell of Colton.
