Jury Selection Begins in Double-Murder Retrial

Jury selection began Monday for the retrial of 16-year-old Michael Hrayr Demirdjian, who is accused of the first-degree murders of two teenage boys found bludgeoned to death last year on a La Crescenta playground.
Demirdjian’s first trial, which ended with a deadlocked jury, took place in Pasadena Superior Court. His retrial was transferred to San Fernando for scheduling reasons, according to the court.
