Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With Big Rig
A 28-year-old Ojai man was killed instantly when he lost control of his motorcycle in Seacliff late Saturday and slammed into the back end of a big rig, authorities said Sunday.
Jeffrey Scott Good was heading south on the Ventura Freeway, just north of Ventura, when his 1998 Suzuki rear-ended the tractor-trailer shortly after 11 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Truck driver Jeffrey Todd Morton, 37, of Ventura pulled over to assist Good. Good was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause remained under investigation Sunday, but officers said speeding appeared to be a contributing factor.
