About $14,000 missing from six months of ticket sales at the Irvine Barclay Theatre has prompted an internal audit and a police investigation, officials said Tuesday.
Officials filed a police report Monday, saying $10,000 in cash and $4,000 in checks from transactions between December and early June could not be accounted for, said Doug Rankin, theater president.
Theater officials have filed an insurance claim for reimbursement, Rankin said.
Irvine Police Det. Greg McFarland said investigators have not determined if there was any criminal action.
