U.N. Day to Feature Filipino Dance Troupe

United Nations Day festivities, including a visit by a Filipino dance troupe and a lecture on women’s issues in Tibet, are scheduled at Ventura College on Saturday.
Kim Podzimek, Ventura coordinator for Students for a Free Tibet, will give the keynote address. The event is sponsored by the Bahais of Ventura County, the League of Women Voters of Ventura County, the local chapter of the United Nations Assn. of the USA, and the United Nations Club of Ventura College.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Ventura College cafeteria. Admission is free.
