Glover Elected Chair of Air Quality Board

A Newport Beach city councilwoman was elected the first chairwoman of the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s board on Friday.
Norma Glover, who represents Orange County on the air board, will begin the two-year term Jan. 18. She is currently the vice chairwoman and has been a member of the City Council since 1994.
The air-quality district is the air-pollution control agency for Orange County and large parts of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
