After his opponent conceded for the second time, a final vote count confirmed that Mark Green won New York’s Democratic mayoral primary.
The Board of Elections said Green, the city’s public advocate, beat Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer 402,706 votes to 384,136 in an Oct. 11 runoff election.
Green will face Republican Michael Bloomberg in the Nov. 6 general election to choose a successor to Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who is prevented by term limits from running again.
Ferrer has endorsed Green.
