* * Toby Keith, “Pull My Chain,” DreamWorks. The Oklahoma country singer has built himself an odd niche where he can vacillate between a drippy romantic and a breast-beating testosterone case. Someone else might pull off the humor in Bobby Braddock’s “I Wanna Talk About Me,” but Keith just sounds narcissistic. Only near the end, in “You Didn’t Have as Much to Lose,” do some genuine-sounding vulnerability and sincerity emerge in his rich, woody baritone.
