Murder Charges Filed in Fatal Stabbing at Party

Ventura County prosecutors have filed murder and attempted murder charges against a Ventura teenager in connection with a weekend stabbing in Simi Valley that left a 21-year-old man dead and two others injured.
Robert Winters, 18, appeared in Ventura County Superior Court on Tuesday, but did not enter a plea. He was ordered to return Oct. 23.
Police said Winters arrived at a birthday party early Sunday and began arguing with several guests before stabbing three men and running away.
