Library Branch to Close for Yearlong Renovation
- Share via
The city’s Montana Avenue Branch Library will be closed for a year starting Oct. 29 for renovations that will include construction of a community multipurpose room and spaces for children and young adults, officials said Monday.
The work will be part of projects totaling $1.8 million at three of the city’s four library sites being financed by a 1998 bond issue approved by Santa Monica voters.
Smaller projects have been approved for the Fairview and Ocean Park branches, which along with the city’s Main Library will remain open during the Montana branch’s shutdown.
