Newport Beach Newport Harbor (10-1-1) at La Mirada (10-1), 7:30 p.m. Saturday--If not for Newport Harbor’s 26-22 intersectional loss to Westchester in Week 10 and La Mirada losing a coin flip, these teams likely would have been seeded one-two. Instead, they meet in the semifinals, same as last year, with La Mirada seeking to atone for its only loss last season, 35-16. La Mirada’s Junior Vaca ran for four touchdowns, including 35 and 52 yards, and caught two more, including an 81-yarder, in a 49-25 quarterfinal victory last week over second-seeded Santa Ana Foothill. Vaca and quarterback Chris Moreno give La Mirada balance, but that’s nothing third-seeded Newport Harbor doesn’t have. Morgan Craig has thrown for 22 touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 65.3% of his passes, and the Sailors are averaging 228 yards rushing.
