Gunmen Kidnap German Businessman

Armed men kidnapped a German businessman in Yemen, said security officials and the German Embassy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The kidnapping came as Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh continued a visit to Germany.
The German was in his car in the diplomatic area of Sana, the capital, when five armed men bundled him into their vehicle. When troops in the area opened fire, the kidnappers sped away, the officials said.
