DIVISIONS V-XIII FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS
West Covina South Hills 46, Fountain Valley Los Amigos 0--Marcus Nolan scored four touchdowns for the second consecutive game as the top-seeded Huskies (11-1) moved a step closer to defending their Division IX championship at Garden Grove High.
South Hills outgained Los Amigos, 308 yards to 167, and held Lobo running back Anthony Matagi to only 96 yards, 60 coming on two fake punts.
South Hills opened the game with a nine-play scoring drive that ended in Nolan’s one-yard touchdown run. Los Amigos (9-3) quickly got a taste of the Husky defense, as Maopu Tuato threw a near interception on the Lobos’ first play and Matagi was hit for a five-yard loss on the next.
Northview blew things open in the second quarter as Nolan scored on touchdown runs of three and one yard.
Stephano Smith led South Hills with 116 yards rushing and a touchdown, and Nolan rushed for 44 yards and three scores in addition to catching a 17-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Repp.
