Pedestrian, 83, Killed When Struck by Pickup
From Times Staff Reports
A woman was fatally injured Friday when she was hit by a pickup truck as she walked across a street, authorities said.
Chong Kim, 83, was in a crosswalk on Yorktown Avenue about 5 p.m. when she was struck by a pickup traveling westbound on Windward Lane, said Lt. JB Hume, a spokesman for the Huntington Beach Police Dept. Kim was pronounced dead at the scene, Hume said. The truck’s driver was not cited.
