Re “Living Life Steeped in a Variety of Faiths,” Nov. 17: Thank you for the article on L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca’s efforts to promote tolerance and to build bridges among the diverse religious groups in our community. For me it is a great irony and a great cause for hope that the sheriff of Los Angeles County is our most visible spokesperson for understanding. God does indeed work in mysterious ways.
