Holiday Closings

Many offices will remain closed today as part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The following schedule will be observed:

* City, county and state offices will be closed.

* Federal offices will be open.

* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed; the U.S. District Court clerk’s office will be open for emergency telephone appeals only.

* County and city libraries will be closed except in Newport Beach, where the central library and branches will be open.

* Banks and savings & loans will be open.

* Public schools, community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be closed.

* Mail will be delivered.

* Trash will be picked up but collections will be one day late the rest of the week.

* Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on normal schedules.

* Metrolink trains will run on normal schedules.
