Cub Scouts Give $14,000 to Sept. 11 Disaster Fund

A group of Cub Scouts has raised more than $14,000 in donations for Sept. 11 disaster relief.
The youngsters are members of Cub Scout Pack 580’s Den 2 Webelos. They presented the money to the American Red Cross at a ceremony Wednesday at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace.
Trevor Burns, Tommy Just, Connor Meek, Sean Yedinak, Brandon Whitney, Justin Mason and Brandon Peterson said they collected the money in specially painted donation cans at city events, grocery stores and shopping centers.
