Thinking Clearly
The headline “Teacher’s Radical Past Is University’s Problem” (Nov. 2) muddies the controversy. The Weather Underground was a violent, terrorist, extremist, leftist organization committed to the overthrow of our democratically elected institutions by any means necessary.
The word “radical” is often used in the press in lieu of “terrorist” to sanitize the image and actions of leftist terrorists.
