A tornado swept through Ellicott, east of Colorado Springs, damaging mobile homes and buildings and injuring at least 14 people.
Lt. Melissa Hartman in the El Paso County sheriff’s office said one person was seriously injured; the twister hit three mobile home parks and two schools.
Trish Davidson said her mobile home was lifted from its foundation and that its roof was blown off. Karen Krause said she saw the storm from her double-wide trailer.
“It busted windows out of my husband’s truck, 20 feet from the house,” she said. She said a nearby school’s roof was ripped off.
