Dog Park Opening Set for Saturday
A Thousand Oaks park has gone to the dogs--all with the blessings of Conejo Recreation and Park District officials.
Actually, a new dog park at 1300 Avenida de las Flores will officially open at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The site has 1.5 acres for large dogs and 1.25 acres available for small dogs.
The perimeter of the grassy expanse is landscaped with native wildflowers and includes multiple gates, picnic tables and benches. There are also three water fountains for pet owners with attached fountains for dogs.
For information, call the district at 495-6471.
